Announcement
I am hoping to come out with a new post every day. Each post will be about one of the Guardians. Then if there is another Marvel character you want to hear about just leave a comment.
Star-Lord
Star-Lord A.KA. Peter Jason Quill
Weapons: Plasma guns, jet boots, and breath mask for trips in outer space
Powers: none
Interesting fact: He has a mixed music tape (It was the 70s when he left earth) that he always listens to.
Affiliations: Guardians of the Galaxy, Ravagers, Nova Corps
So, at the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie Star-Lord (Played wonderfully by Chris Pratt), is told that he is only half human. They don't say anything else. If you've read the Guardians of the Galaxy Issue # 0.1 you will know that Star-Lord's father is actually a King. So, his name Star-Lord has connections with that. For those of you who haven't read the comics I will enlighten you.
A spaceship crashes in a young woman's yard. (Luckily, she lived on a farm so Area 51 didn't see). She meets a space man who is pretty bloodied and takes him into her house. The woman decides not to call the cops but, does hide the spaceman's gun. She helps him work on putting his spaceship back together. They fall in love and well that's how Star-Lord came to be. The space man had to leave to go back to outer space. So, then years later Star-Lord winds up in space and the whole comic series and the movie start off.
Star-Lord is fairly new to the marvel universe. He is not as old as the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He is a lot like Iron man in the Avengers and the Iron man movie series. He isn't rich, but, still has excels over the comedy that Robert Downey Jr. had as Iron Man.
Star-Lord is my second most favorite Guardian (Rocket Raccoon is my favorite). He brings the Guardians together in the galaxy's greatest time of need. So, he is overall a good hero. He's certainly not the most powerful hero or Guardian but, even though he's kind of a criminal he becomes good at the right time and is very heroic.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Many of you have seen the movie Guardians of the Galaxy which came out earlier this month. But, who are the Guardians of the Galaxy. In this blog I hope to fully explain who each of the guardians are both from the movie and the comics. Feel free to give me suggestions or suggest another Marvel Comics character. Thank you!
